Amiette (Amo) has over 26 years of practical experience in all aspects of environmental regulation. She worked at the NSW EPA for 21 years as an Operations Officer, Investigator and Regulatory Capability Manager and more recently three years with the Natural Resources Access Regulator (water) and Biodiversity Conservation and Science.
Despite having a science background and investigations as her “trade”, training and capability development is Amo’s passion. She established a national investigations training program for environmental regulators through AELERT which included writing and delivering a Cert IV in Government Investigations and Diploma in Government Investigations as well as working on projects to develop a national guideline for Authorised Officers and working on regulatory capability standards.
She has delivered regulatory training to over 5000 students.
Amo has a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Environmental Science, Diploma in Government (Investigations), and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is even currently a student herself being enrolled in a Masters of Public Policy and Leadership.
