Course Name: Diploma of Government Investigations
Course Duration: 12 - 18 months
Course Description: This qualification covers the competencies required by a person responsible for the coordination and conduct of investigations. It is suitable for individuals who apply integrated technical and theoretical concepts in a broad range of contexts to undertake advanced skilled duties in a government investigations environment. This qualification supersedes the previous Diploma of Government (Investigations) PSP51712 and the Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspections) PSP51912. These qualifications have been deemed as NON EQUIVALENT. Many units however are equivalent and people seeking to upgrade to the new qualification should contact us.
Assessment: ACIM offer a range of assessment options including RPL, and a combination of realistic workplace tasks, projects, knowledge tests, and responses to case studies and scenarios. Please contact us for our RPL Kit if applicable. Our programs and assessments are practical and interactive in nature and will be directly relevant to your role and the investigative and compliance functions you currently undertake or are keen to pursue.
Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements however it is acknowledged that many students will have vocational experience in a relevant role that will have provided a suitable preparation for the program. It is usually the case that personnel entering this program are identified by their employer based on their need for professional development and growth.
Qualification Requirements: 11 units of competency are required for this qualification: 5 core units 6 elective units Choose 1 elective from Group A Work health safety. Choose a minimum of 2 electives from Group B General elective units. Choose the remaining electives from the list below or from elsewhere within this training package, or from another endorsed training package, or from an accredited course. All elective units selected from outside this qualification must reflect the occupational learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level. Seek further advice on selecting imported units of competency in the PSP Implementation Guide. Elective units selected must not duplicate content already covered by other units in this qualification.
